Wonders With Woods

I have been creating and designing my woodwork creations (along with the pyro-graphed art featured on them) for over 30 years.

Wonders With Woods began its journey properly back in 2011 when I started handcrafting wooden furniture for customers in order to form each item into that of a truly unique and one of a kind one.

My love of arts and crafts has always been with me since an early age. I continued my love for this by going onto a high education course and studying for 4 years. Within these 4 years, I studied the subjects of art; design; graphic design; pottery; and also photography (dark room and developing).

My career path has taken me into that of a free-hand painter, working for a large pottery company for some time. Following on from this, I found myself returning to higher education but this time not as a pupil. I worked several years within schools developing young people's skills and helping them where possible.

My experience over the years has given me a great understanding of art, as well as allowed me to develop my hand skills- further allowing me to complete artwork free-handed. This was a main benefiting factor for me as, unlike pencil, you cannot erase a mistake which has been burnt into wood.

Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books
